Cruise Activities for Kids
Taking the entire family on a cruise is becoming very popular, and the cruise lines have created activities to keep kids and teens busy while parents have their own fun. Jennifer Huget wrote a comprehensive guide to cruise line offerings for youngsters in the Washington Post.
Casual “value” cruise lines like Disney and Carnival are the best bets for families. Carnival’s new Club O2 for teens 15 to 17 sounds promising for parents of this tough age group. It’s an almost-adult lineup of programs and hang-outs. Luxury lines, like Crystal or Cunard, are less accommodating to kids. Their target market is couples, not families.
